In 1996, ImaTowns hosted the first Active Worlds world outside of Worlds, Inc. (the owners of Active Worlds at the time.) In early 1997, we officially began offering Active Worlds hosting as well as web hosting.  In 1998, we began developing Active Worlds bots under the name ImaBot for the newly released Active Worlds software development kit.
